Rate Anything is designed to know as little about you as possible. Here is the whole story, in plain English.

Your ratings stay in your browser

When you rate an item or add your own item, that information is stored in your own browser's localStorage — a small storage area on your device. We do not have user accounts, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not send your ratings to any server. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your personal ratings will not carry over, because they never left your device in the first place.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, no passwords, no profiles.
• No contact details unless you email us yourself (see Contact).
• No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no data brokers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site. It sets cookies in your browser and collects aggregate usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, and device type — we don't use it to identify you personally. Your ratings themselves are never sent to us or to Google Analytics; they stay in your browser's local storage. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings at any time.
